Elissa Matthews is the author of Where the River Bends, a historical novel, taking place in the early years of the Great Depression.
Elissa studied math and engineering in college, and worked as a programmer for many years before switching to software design, and then technical writing. She always loved a good story, and once she started writing her own, she became fascinated by the inner workings of what makes a good story, why humans are so fascinated by the psychology of eternal stories, and what makes a story really take hold of a reader, resonating and reverberating in their minds.
